Diversity marks our practice in a number of ways. PARALX team is comprised of dynamic individuals from varied backgrounds who bring valuable skills and experience to our three Studios in Los Angeles, Jeddah and Beirut.


We offer our clients in-depth partner involvement through all stages of design through our LA Studio and the breadth of building experience and technical expertise through our Jeddah and Beirut Locations. We are a practice with teams instead of departments. This strategy lets each team member work on different scales (from interiors to urban design) which leads us to diversity of thinking out of box ideas.

Karim Moussawer
Principal & Founder, AIA—International Associate  ︎

Karim helms PARALX thriving practice and overseeing the firm’s residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects, while constantly advancing the firm’s vision, growth, and strategic direction.

Karim graduated from the Southern California Institute of Architecture- SCI-Arc with a post-graduate master’s degree in architecture, and holds a Graduate Diploma in Architecture from ALBA- Lebanese Academy of Fine-Arts. He has taught at the Syracuse School of Architecture, and at the American University of Beirut.
